Newton Fees
Newton advertises themselves as a no fee exchange. What this means is they do not charge fees for trading, funding or withdrawals. However, they do have a spread on every purchase or sell. Spreads are pretty common, and how most exchanges make their money. And it is nice that there are no direct fees to worry about for other actions.
Their spread is also one of the lowest in Canada at around 0.65% at the time of this review.
Also keep in mind that sending some coins to other exchanges or wallets will incur network fees. These are fees that go to the miners to confirm the transfer. These are not fees that go to Newton themselves. Newton does however cover up to $5 of these fees as a goodwill gesture to their customers.
One way to get around these network fees if you are sending to another exchange is to convert to a cryptocurrency that has low network fees, like stellar or ripple. Then convert back to the coin you want.
